Shimon (Shimi) Ruimi, 30, from Ofakim

January 1, 2016: Shimon (Shimi) Ruimi, 30, from the southern town of Ofakim, was one of two victims who were shot when an Israeli-Arab gunman opened fire on patrons of the Simta Pub on Dizengoff Street, not far from Dizengoff Centre.

Shimi had come to Tel Aviv to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and was in the pub with his friends when he was gunned down. He is survived by his parents and three siblings. His funeral will took place Sunday January 3rd in Ofakim.
